2. Data Collected
We collect only what's needed to run your account and deliver our courses: your name and email address; payment information (processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not store full card details ourselves); your course progress, quiz results, and any content you create as part of coursework (such as your AI Tutor file); and basic technical information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and general usage data needed to keep the Website functioning correctly.
We do not collect job title, profession, date of birth, or demographic/interest data, and we do not use Data for advertising or behavioral profiling.
3. Our Use of Data
3.1 Any personal Data you submit will be retained by SocratesXR for as long as you use the Services and Systems provided on the Website.
3.2 Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties.
3.3 All personal Data is stored securely using industry-standard safeguards. For more details on security, see Clause 9 below.
3.4 Data may be used by us to: provide and improve our Services; maintain your Account and course records; and respond to your questions or support requests. We do not use your Data for promotional email campaigns, market research, or advertising purposes.
4. Minors and Student Privacy
SocratesXR's courses are intended for users aged 14 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that information promptly.
For users under 18, we collect only the information necessary to provide the course experience: account information (name, email), course progress, quiz results, and any content the student creates as part of coursework (such as their AI Tutor file). We do not sell personal information belonging to any user, and in particular we do not sell or share the personal information of users under 16 without opt-in consent, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Because our courses are designed for users 14 and older and do not involve behavioral advertising or data sales, they fall outside COPPA's scope; the protections above are provided as a matter of practice.
Parents or guardians of students under 18 may contact us at info@socratesxr.com to review, correct, or request deletion of their student's personal information.
5. Third Party Websites and Services

The providers of such services do not have access to certain personal Data provided by Users of this Website. Any Data used by such parties is used only to the extent required by them to perform the services that SocratesXR requests. Any use for other purposes is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, any Data that is processed by third parties must be processed within the terms of this Policy.
6. Changes of Business Ownership and Control
6.1 SocratesXR may, from time to time, expand or reduce its business and this may involve the sale of certain divisions or the transfer of control of certain divisions to other parties. Data provided by Users will, where it is relevant to any division so transferred, be transferred along with that division, and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which it was supplied by you.
6.2 In the event that any Data submitted by Users will be transferred in such a manner, you will be contacted in advance and informed of the changes. When contacted, you will be given the choice to have your Data deleted or withheld from the new owner or controller.
